Apple CEO Steve Jobs has returned to the showman role that has helped define his company leadership, taking the stage for the first time since his medical leave to announce such new products as an iPod Nano that records video.

At an event for journalists, bloggers and software partners, Jobs announced updates to Apple’s iTunes and iPhone software and unveiled a new iPod Nano with a built-in video camera.

As was expected, Apple’s announcements were mainly tied to music players and the iTunes software, though Jobs spoke briefly about the iPhone and said 30 million of the devices had been sold so far.

Apple compared the new video-camera Nano to Cisco Systems’s Flip Mino, a tiny, simple video recorder that sells for NZ$259, just like the basic, eight-gigabyte version of the overhauled Nano (The 16 GB Nano costs NZ$318). The Nano – the smallest iPod that has a screen – also has a microphone, a pedometer, a 2.2-inch display and an FM radio tuner.

The price of the iPod Shuffle has also been dropped to NZ$99 for the 4GB model. It currently sells for about NZ$155.

15岁赴美留学

原来玩秘密结婚的不止华仔、千嬅和黎明三人，还有89年凭一曲《难得有情人》走红、被视为90年代天后的关淑怡，记者昨日在内华达州另一个记载1988年之前结婚资料的搜寻网中，发现英文名Shirley的关淑怡，早于1985年11月11日，已在赌城跟一名姓叶的男子（Yip Arthur Allen）注册结婚。

记者翻查资料，关淑怡于15岁即1981年曾到美国洛杉矶修读时装设计，至1986年才回港参加第5届新秀歌唱比赛，换言之关淑怡于1985年19岁那一年的确身在美国，不论时间和地点也十分吻合，证明她未入行前已在赌城跟一名姓叶的男子结婚。

不过事隔24年，关淑怡入行后曾大红大紫，她是否已跟叶姓丈夫离婚，以及现时其7岁儿子的亲生父到底是谁，至今仍是个谜，不过外间也有传关淑怡的儿子是她与曾志伟所生，但志伟否认此事。记者昨晚约7时在佐敦录音室等候关淑怡，问她是否于1985年在赌城跟叶姓男子注册结婚，但她闻言不作回应，只说：“麻烦请借过。”然后头耷耷急步走入大厦。

赌城婚书陆续有来

自刘德华日前被揭发去年在赌城注册结婚的铁证后，连日来都有艺人的结婚注册纪录“出土”。

《吴倩莲、Tsao Mung》 – 2007年低调结婚，吴倩莲从不肯透露丈夫名字，但由注册纪录得知他叫Tsao Mung，从事医药行业。

《黎耀祥、Julia》 – 黎耀祥和Julia于1997年在美国拉斯维加斯结婚，同年诞下儿子正桥，一家三口生活美满。

《杨宝玲、Nelson》 – 杨宝玲于2002年5月与美国拉斯维加斯赌场高层Nelson共谐连理，婚礼也在当地举行。

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Arkansas said Wednesday it launched the first iPhone application to track state projects funded through the federal stimulus package.

The free application, Arkansas.gov Recovery Project Search, is available through the Apple iTunes Store and can be downloaded to an iPhone or iPod Touch.

“We want transparency in the recovery process,” said Chris Masingill of the Arkansas State Recovery Office. “This is taxpayers’ money, so we want them to have the information and the tools to access it.”

Users can search keywords to find Arkansas state project names and descriptions, including location, dollar allocation, start date and percentage completed.

The location lookup feature displays projects by city or county name, and the “Near Me” button uses an iPhone’s Global Positioning System to find projects near the user’s location.

The technology was developed about three or four weeks ago, Masingill said, after state employees in the information sector suggested the idea.

“They didn’t waste any time,” he said. “We wanted Arkansans to know where their money is going, and we wanted to be the first state to do it.”

Masingill said he was unaware of any other states’ plans to develop applications, but he expects and hopes similar projects will pop up soon.

“I’m sure someone else will develop something even better that we can use, too,” he said. “At the end of the day, it’s about sharing information.”
